Through the efforts of Ukraine Aid International ("UAI"), three Connecticut towns in Fairfield County have each become a "sister" city to three towns in Ukraine to assist them with their reconstruction efforts. These relationships are: Westport-Lyman, Easton-Sviatohirsk, Stamford -Kramahorsk. Each CT town Selectman has visited their respective sister city to learn about and assess the war-ravaged destruction these cities have endured. The Lyman AID event is a fundraiser, free to all, offering food, family-friendly activities, and live music. First Selectwoman Kupchick, First Selectman Bindelglass, Selectwoman Tooker, and Senator Blumenthal will be guest speakers. Our very special guest speaker will be Mayor Zhuravlev of Lyman Ukraine! Donations are urgently needed to help these Ukrainian sister cities rebuild infrastructure, re-establish sources of fresh, clean drinking water, reinstate all media and communications networks, provide ongoing food and medical supplies and so much more.
