In 1959, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony was performed for the first time by an all-Chinese orchestra and sung in Mandarin.

Michael Tippett was inspired by the romanticism of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 to create his own Romantic concerto. We’ll enjoy it during our music this evening at 8pm on 91.1 and 107.5 FM and our music stream.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Kate Remington joined WSHU in December of 2000, and she's been WSHU's Music Director since 2002.
