The title character of Bizet's opera Carmen is such a vibrant and dramatic personality that many have wanted to bring her to life, including Rodion Shchedrin's prima ballerina wife. We'll hear his Carmen Ballet during our music today. Tune in at 9 am on 91.1 and 107.5 FM and our music stream.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Kate Remington joined WSHU in December of 2000, and she's been WSHU's Music Director since 2002.
