Police Reforms On Party Lines

New York Assembly Majority Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes, D-Buffalo, speaks in favor of new legislation for police reform while standing with Assembly members during a news briefing at the state Capitol Monday.

After a week of protests over a long list of black men killed by police, the New York Senate voted on party lines to repeal 50-a, a state law used by police departments to shield disciplinary records. Also, accusations of racism at the Coast Guard Academy, and nursing homes on their COVID response.
