Join us at 3:00PM on Sunday, August 27, 2023 for our third annual Summer Festival Chorus Concert at St. Thomas More Church in Darien: Haydn & Heaven features Franz Joseph Haydn's Missa brevis Sancti Joannis de Deo (Kleine Orgelmesse). The fifty-voice choir has been preparing during the summer weeks with guest conductor Constance Chase, Director of the renowned West Point Glee Club at the U.S. Military Academy. In addition, heavenly choral works by British giants Gustav Holst and Gordon Jacob and American choral masters Undine Smith Moore, Joan Szymko and Jeffrey Douma complete the program. Terry Eldh, soprano and Daniel Hague, bass are the featured soloists with string ensemble, accompanied on organ and piano by Galen Tate and Neil Flores. The concert is free and open to the public. St. Thomas More Church is located at 374 Middlesex Road, Darien, Connecticut.
