Happy Hour Jazz Piano with Jen Allen

Happy Hour Jazz Piano with Jen Allen

Relax and unwind after work in AMP’s mural gallery. Mingle with friends and coworkers, have a drink at the cash bar, and peruse the artwork to musical accompaniment. Internationally applauded jazz pianist and composer Jen Allen will set a festive tone, playing both originals and favorites.

Jen is a member of the prestigious BMI Jazz Composers Workshop and was one of only eight pianists from around the world to be selected to participate in the Mary Lou Williams Women in Jazz Workshop event at Kennedy Center, in Washington DC. She has performed with such jazz notables as Don Braden, Jimmy Greene, Kendrick Oliver, Sarah Caswell, Camille Thurman, Freddie Hendrix, Nat Reeves, Kris Allen, Ike Sturm, and Antoinette Montague. Her latest album is Sifting Grace.

A renovated mill gallery, AMP offers an artsy club atmosphere like no other. Its centerpiece is the incredible indoor mural—120 feet long and five stories high—that celebrates American workers on a grand scale. With the mural and three tiers for viewing and mingling, patrons have an extraordinary experience that fuses live music with collaborative art.
