"The Veil of Memory": Civic Orchestra of New Haven

The Civic Orchestra of New Haven is a local nonprofit community orchestra that comprises more than 60 professional and serious amateur musicians. As a vital part of the greater New Haven community for more than 80 years, CONH has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to fostering musical excellence and enriching the lives of individuals in our community. We are excited to announce our upcoming concert on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 at 7:30pm at Battell Chapel (400 College St., New Haven). The orchestra will present a program featuring Brahms Symphony No. 4 and music by Emilie Mayer, and the world premiere of a marimba concerto composed by Harriet Steinke (Yale School of Music 23'), under the baton of Maestro Samuel Hollister and featuring Makana Medeiros on marimba.
