U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut has vowed to fight Senate Republican attempts to vote on a President Donald Trump nominee to fill the seat of the late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says a statue of the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be erected in her native Brooklyn.

Before she was a Supreme Court Justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a law professor at Rutgers University from 1963 to 1972. WSHU spoke with one of her former students, Marilyn Ford, who is now a law professor at Quinnipiac University.
