U.S. college students are the subjects of a new federally funded study that measures the effectiveness of Moderna’s vaccine in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Stony Brook University on Long Island is one college whose students will participate in the study.


Connecticut school officials are reviewing a new federal guideline that says students can sit as close as three feet apart in class, a relaxing of the six-feet social distance advisory by U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

States are racing to ease pandemic restrictions as COVID-19 infections continue to drop across the country. Connecticut is no exception. Governor Ned Lamont has dramatically reduced restrictions but won’t drop the mask mandate, while the state tries to vaccinate as quickly as possible.
