Using Your Smart Speaker To Stream WSHU

Jan 8, 2018

You can easily access your favorite WSHU programs on smart speakers like Amazon Echo, Google Home or Apple HomePod. What’s more, you can now listen to WSHU programs that you couldn’t hear via terrestrial radio. Below are some basic instructions on how to do so.

Amazon Echo or Dot

  • To play our News and Talk stream, say, “Alexa, play WSHU News and Talk” or "Alexa, play WSUF 89.9."
  • To play our Classical Music and News stream, say, “Alexa, play WSHU News and Classical,” or "Alexa, play WSHU 91.1."
  • To play Sunday Baroque, say, “Alexa, play Sunday Baroque on TuneIn.”

Google Home

  • To play our News and Talk stream, say, “Hey, Google, play WSHU News and Talk.”
  • To play our Classical Music and News stream, say, “Hey, Google, play WSHU News and Classical."
  • To play Sunday Baroque, say, “Hey, Google, play WSHU Sunday Baroque.”

Apple HomePod or iPhone

  • Hey Siri, play WSHU. *Please note that this will play the WSHU News and Talk stream, not the Classical Music stream. We are working to get the music stream on Apple as soon as possible.

Please note that the technology on these devices is changing rapidly. We'll do our best to update you on changes, and improvements, as they occur. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or feedback.
