WSHU is partnering with the non-profit newsroom, ProPublica, to help power our 2020 voting coverage for the first time. Local elections officials are planning around historic conditions with the US postal service delivery delays and public health precautions due to the pandemic — and local journalists are, too.
WSHU audiences in New York and Connecticut will be able to contact our newsroom directly to report on any issues with the absentee ballot process or voting at the polls. This Electionland project brings together newsrooms across the country to cover the preparation and day of the November 3rd general election, powered by our audiences tips about their experiences with the voting process.
Please fill out the contact form below to help drive our local election coverage. You can let us know if you run into any of the issues below via the tipline:
We will be on the lookout for any problems that prevent people from voting — such as mail ballot delivery problems, changed voting locations, long lines, registration problems, purged voter rolls, broken machines and voter intimidation. You can help us. To let us know how your voting experience goes, here’s how to sign up and get in touch.
