In his State of the State message, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo embraced many of his familiar issues: cutting taxes for businesses and estates, boosting tourism, and expanding abortion rights.   A few new items included a proposal to borrow $2 billion dollars for education technology, a push to improve New York City airports , and support for connecting  Metronorth to Penn Station.
For Long Islanders, reaction so far has been lukewarm.
