24 Arrested In Alleged Drug Ring On Shinnecock Reservation

Oct 25, 2019

Twenty-four people have been arrested for their alleged role in a drug ring that operated on or near the Shinnecock Reservation.

Suffolk County District Attorney Tim Sini says the ring brought in close to $1 million year selling cocaine, fentanyl-laced heroin and other pills.

“For far too long, these criminals and their associates were hiding on the reservation to avoid law enforcement detection, terrorizing the law-abiding members of the Shinnecock nation.”

Eight of those arrested lived on the reservation.

Sini says the investigation began in 2018 following several incidents of violence and fatal overdoses on the reservation.
