The Sacred Heart University Community Theatre in Fairfield will open its doors for the first time in over a decade, with a slate of events over the Memorial Day weekend.
A schedule of film screenings, comedians and bands will culminate with a concert on Monday afternoon.
Bill Harris is the director of the theater. He said he hopes the theatre will become an important part of the community as we emerge from the pandemic.
"Memorial Day is not just the traditional beginning of summer. It’s the traditional beginning of the summer movie season so we’re excited for the next four days of the Memorial Day weekend to really promote basically a sampling of our program portfolio of the theater,” Harris said.
The events will not be at full capacity and will use social distance measures. Tickets are available online at shucommunitytheatre.org.
