Water customers are asked to stop using sprinklers.

Water restrictions have been put in place for Greenwich, Stamford, Dairen, New Canaan, and Westport, Connecticut, because of the third drought of the year.

Aquarion, in consultation with the state, has instituted a mandatory irrigation ban meaning that sprinkler systems and hose-end sprinklers are not to be used.

Aquarion also wants customers to conserve water by limiting baths and only washing full loads of laundry and dishes.
