Ford had the best winning percentage of any pitcher in the 20th century.

Former New York Yankees pitcher Whitey Ford has died at the age of 91.

Ford had the best winning percentage of any pitcher in the 20th century and helped the Yankees become baseball's perennial champions in the 1950s and '60s. A family member said he died at his Long Island home Thursday night. The cause was not known.

Bill began his radio journey on Long Island, followed by stops in Schenectady, Bridgeport, Boston and New York City. He’s glad to be back on the air in Fairfield County, where he has lived with his wife and two sons for more than 20 years.
