Conn. Rep. Jahana Hayes

U.S. Representative Jahana Hayes of Connecticut says she’s tested positive for COVID-19.

Hayes posted a short video on Twitter that showed her receive a nasal swab test at a drive-thru testing site. She said she went to two urgent care centers before she got the appointment. Hayes’s announcement came a day after she said one of her staff members also tested positive for the virus.

Aside from some breathing issues, she said she’s asymptomatic, and is being monitored. She said she’ll quarantine for the next 14 days.

Hayes represents the Fifth Congressional District, which covers much of northwest Connecticut and north Fairfield County.

Davis Dunavin loves telling stories, whether on the radio or around the campfire. He started in Missouri and ended up in Connecticut, which, he'd like to point out, is the same geographic trajectory taken by Mark Twain.
