Governor Ned Lamont encourages people to vacation in Connecticut this Fourth of July holiday weekend.
“What’s so amazing about this state is that you can be in a beautiful shorefront community like this with beaches and swimming. And 45 minutes away, you can start some beautiful climbs through the hills. We’ve launched a couple of concerts. One is going to be the 50th anniversary of Woodstock up in Woodstock, Connecticut. We are talking about paddleboard races so we can have the official Connecticut paddleboard race. There’s a lot going on in this state.”
Lamont spoke at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport. The park has reopened after it was hit by severe storms and a microburst earlier this week.
