Five members of a Riverhead, New York, family lost their lives Tuesday night when their home was destroyed by fire.

Five others escaped the blaze that tore through the wood-framed Victorian house built in 1905.

Officials said the building lacked smoke alarms.

Investigators have found no evidence of arson or criminal activity.

Those lost include a mother, son, daughter and two nephews.
