3 Indicted In Long Island Gang Murder Conspiracy

Suffolk County District Attorney Tim Sini speaks at a news conference announcing the indictment.

Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini announced the indictment of three 18th Street gang members for allegedly conspiring to kill two rival gang members.

The targets were two members of MS-13.

Sini says the county’s partnership with Homeland Security helped avoid the bloodshed.

“We are no longer responding or waiting for tragedy to strike. We’re taking proactive action and do to excellent law enforcement work we are preventing murders.”

He says the gang members used social media to plan and identify their targets.

They face up to 25 years if convicted.
