Beekeeping… It’s All the Buzz

Beekeeping… It’s All the Buzz

Honeybees are the most well-known and studied of all pollinators. We will look at the three kinds of honeybees and their life cycle and how beekeepers use this information to raise honeybee colonies and collect honey, while at the same time protecting the honeybees from disease and predators. Truly a mutually beneficial relationship between two different animal species! Participants will learn about bee products and make their own beeswax candle to take home. All ages welcome.
