From WSHU's daytime and evening classical programs, Kate Remington and Lauren Rico give you a heads-up on some of the best music they've selected.

Classical Music Highlight: Beethoven, The Innovator

Beethoven broke quite a few musical rules for structure with his two piano sonatas, Op. 27.  He wrote them so they'd sound like they were being improvised on the spot.  We'll enjoy Andras Schiff's performance of Op. 27 no. 1 today.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Kate Remington joined WSHU in December of 2000, and she's been WSHU's Music Director since 2002.
