Dear friends,
As the end of the year draws near, I wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for all your listening, streaming, downloading, social media following and website viewing. You are at the heart of our mission and the reason for our daily programs. We could not do any of this without your support. Many thanks!
WSHU was with you every step of the way throughout 2022 with music, news, and feature stories. We will continue to be your companion in 2023, whatever the year brings. We are truly grateful for you.
2022 was a strange year and so much has happened that it is hard to articulate or capture it all. Our colleagues at Jacobs Media put a study on our radar that I wanted to share with you: a new Pew Research Center article titled “Striking Findings from 2022” by Katherine Schaeffer that details 15 fascinating data points from this past year that have shaped us all. I also included this research to underscore how important it is to have a companion like WSHU. We are here to bring context to your world through news, information, and storytelling. And we will continue to bring you classical music to soothe your soul, lower your blood pressure and expand your mind. (All scientifically documented benefits of classical music listening!)
Keep us on and around during the holiday season—we have lots of special programs to keep you in good spirits. Check out our schedule.
WSHU newsroom, administrative, production and hosting staff members will be taking some time off on a rotating basis over the holiday season to be with family and friends. We will all be back on January 3rd. If you need us, we are only an email away; contact us at membership@wshu.org or go to www.wshu.org. We have lots of information and FAQs on making a year-end donation here.
May this holiday season bring you much comfort and joy with friends and loved ones. We look forward to being with you in 2023!
Warm regards,
A. Rima Dael
