A traveling Smithsonian exhibit at the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismark that highlights renewable energy and sustainability has been closed temporarily, after museum staff received complaints from the oil industry and other visitors. The Heritage Center says the exhibit is being enhanced and will re-open soon. But the timing of the closure raises questions about whether the museum is altering the content of a national exhibition to appease its energy industry donors.
