The Digital Future of WSHU: “New Media Initiative”

The goal of this initiative is to offer WSHU listeners more ways to access our news, music and entertainment programs by taking advantage of the newest, most efficient digital technology available. These changes will position WSHU as a more technology-savvy and current source of high quality content, making WSHU more top-of-mind for current listeners and for new, younger listeners.

How can your organization participate in this exciting project?

We are working to raise a total of $250,000 to fund this new initiative. Your gift will allow us to apply the newest technology and human resources to podcasts, interactive Flash menus, instant playlist display (PAD- “program associated data” or “metadata”), HD radio, new mobile device apps, enhanced streaming options, speech-to-text technology, and links to social media sites.

Find out how your company or foundation can support WSHU's New Media Initiative by contacting Development Director Gillian Anderson at 203.371.1254 or by email. You can help as an individual by making an additional gift to the New Media Initiative.

Please let us know that your gift is for the New Media Initiative by leaving a note in the comments field on the pledge form.

Webster Bank has made the inaugural contribution in support of the WSHU New Media Initiative.
