and implementation of a Staff Training program. Send Broadcast professionals to a variety of local, regional
and national workshops and conferences to improve skills. |

Mentoring |
Establishment
and implementation of a Mentoring Program. WSHU News Director, under the
auspices of The Public Radio News Directors Assoc. mentors personnel at
various stations to improve news skills, including interview techniques,
writing and production skills.
Attends and mentors students attending the Unity Conference for
minority broadcasters and the Society of Black Journalists. |

WSHU has
compiled the following to disseminate job opportunities. All upper
level jobs are listed through various web sites e-mail list serves and print
opportunities of CPB, NPR, The Connecticut Broadcasters Assoc., NAB Career
Center; SHU, and WSHU's locally hosted web site. In
addition WSHU prepared a mailing list for information on employment
opportunities. When appropriate WSHU will mail notification and job
